LABELED PAIRS WITHOUT ASTRAGAL

ALLOWABLE HARDWARE CONFIGURATIONS FOR PAIRS OF DOORS
SWINGING IN THE SAME DIRECTION

All hardware must be listed fire labelled devices to qualify the opening.
Doors must have tackweld lockseam edges.
Double Egress doors do not qualify.
Up to 2/4'0" x 8'0" x 1 3/4"

As required by NFPA80 labelled pairs of doors required single point latches to have a 3/4" throw.

Product: 1 1/2 hour fire labelled or less
Twenty, eighteen or sixteen (20 /18 /16) gauge with honeycomb paper, steel stiffened, polyurethane or polystyrene cores, swinging flush design fire door for installation in pairs in 1 1/2 hour locations when equipped with a listed 3/4" throw latch as required by NFPA 80.

Maximum size of opening: Pair - 2/4' 0" wide x 8' 0" high, no astragal required.

Hardware: Mortised and cylindrical latches, concealed and surface mounted vertical rod devices, mortised and surface mounted top and bottom bolts, mortised and surface mounted fire exit devices. Openback strikes are permitted.

Maximum size of opening: Pair - 2/4' 0" wide x 8' 0" high, no astragal required

Hardware: Concealed and surface mounted vertical rod devices, mortised and surface mounted top and bottom bolts.

Please note that double egress doors without mullion still require an astragal unless supplied with a temperature rise door core. Stainless steel pairs of doors still require an astragal.
